The first part of the trip is described here — Jeep tour in Cherek-Balkaria canyon
The route passes along the Cherek gorge to its upper reaches, where it continues to the Kara-Su gorge, in the Ushtulu glade.
Start of Hike
Having looked, and even a little frightened, this natural phenomenon, we go further to the Musuk-Su waterfall, which rushes along the rocks in beautiful braids to the crystal lake-bowl at its base. Here you can settle down for a rest with tea drinking and admiring the wild gorge of Herta adjoining on the other side. We drink tea, and we go to the next majestic waterfall — Zerkli-Su, or Alder in Russian.
